Marta Dymek’s food blog
Jadłonomia
Marta Dymek, one of the most popular nutrition bloggers in Poland, asked us to help with her blog, jadlonomia.com.
Marta has over 347,000 likes on Facebook, over 367,000 followers on Instagram, and her website regularly enjoys hundreds of thousands of visitors. She came to us to rebuild her blog and make it capable of handling this massive amount of online traffic.
All in all, we were asked to redesign her blog and improve its page speed in the event of numerous visitors, all while retaining its high search engine rankings.

The basis of the blog’s changes was the renewal of its graphic design and improving the User Experience (UX).
Thanks to the graphic design prepared by the graphic studio Working Area, we obtained a very functional layout design.
On its basis we programmed a lightweight front-end, fully responsive and adapted to mobile devices (mobile first).
The site has a blog section and a catalog of plant-based recipes searchable through functional filtering according to the type of ingredients, type of dishes and diets.
“This project was a big challenge for me. My blog had to meet my own standards, as well as the standards my visitors have come to expect from me. Throughout the entire process Smultron was patient and conscientious, ultimately leading to an amazing final result. :) I’m very satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend Smultron to anyone looking for help with their website or blog.”
Since the new site was replacing an old, very popular blog, we had to take care of the existing links and redirect all the archived links correctly, so as not to lose them and maintain good SEO results.
The high popularity of the blog in Poland, and thus the high number of page views forced us to professionally optimize the performance of the server for the smooth operation of the site under heavy load.
It was also important to optimize the site for Google searches.
The CMS of the site was made on the basis of WordPress.
It allows for comprehensive, independent editing of the site’s content and management of filters and parameters of recipes.
We managed to meet all the assumptions related to the site and it is currently at the top of Google results on the topic of vegetarian and vegan recipes.
