Project process

Task Management: New tasks were added by the client directly in the Redmine system, allowing clear definition of requirements and priorities.
Task Communication: Continuous communication within tasks, exchanging details, comments, and questions about specific problems or functions. This consolidation of information facilitated project management.
Online Meetings: Regular online meetings to discuss progress, review new requirements, and address any issues. These meetings were crucial for maintaining good communication and understanding with the client.

Challenges and Recommendations

1. System Complexity

The system was very complex, leading to long response times and increased server load.

Recommendations: A thorough analysis of various system elements was conducted, resulting in a series of recommendations, both simple and complex, which were systematically implemented to improve system performance.

2. Use of Multiple External Solutions

Integration with numerous external services caused delays and performance issues, especially when these services were slow or unavailable.

Recommendations: Streamlining and optimizing the integration process to minimize dependencies on external services and improve overall system efficiency.

Summary

The project for Mała Księgowość Rzeczpospolitej focused on ensuring system continuity, optimizing performance, implementing new features, modernizing existing components, and enhancing scalability. We managed the project, delivering a robust website with advanced integrations and optimized functionalities. Despite challenges like system complexity and external service dependencies, systematic recommendations and optimizations led to improved performance and efficiency.

We entrusted Smultron with support and development tasks related to the existing eCommerce system with extensive backoffice logic and communication with other services and systems. People from Smultron quickly found their way around the specifics, technology and business requirements, thanks to which we quickly achieved the planned results and optimized existing processes.
